I am confident that I can handle any tasks because I have grown up from a new recruit to an engineer.

Simply put, we oversee the corporate account and make sure we stay in good financial shape by minimizing capital risk and posing necessary corporate information to the public and our investors.

(Yoonjin Kim) I am responsible for financial planning, so it is my job to predict and manage corporate cash flow and plan for financing. To do this, I have to understand the terms and conditions of each project so that I can anticipate unexpected variables and coordinate with relevant departments.
What has been your most rewarding experience working at Samsung Engineering?
(Yoonjin Kim) I felt proud when I contributed to the bidding process of a project through providing project currency, bank guarantees, and financing. When completing financing for the project, my team had to draft a plan to maintain the profit and minimize risk as well as conduct negotiations with financial institutions. From the project, I acquired not only the knowledge but also experience managing the interests of many different departments simultaneously.

(Chungho Kim) You need to stay alert and be prepared all time. Working late into the night, guaranteeing that the company stays in good financial condition can also be stressful. You also you get to carry out diverse transactions with various financial institutions. I found this rather rewarding since it not only gives you an opportunity to broaden your perspective but also gives an insight into the market.

(Yoonjin Kim) Before I started working in financial planning, I did a diverse set of tasks in the financial department, including project currency management, foreign exchange management, bank guarantee issues, and project financing. While some companies require early specialization, Samsung Engineering allowed me to explore my options at the beginning of my career so I could identify my aptitudes and talents.
