What is your role at Samsung Engineering?
I am in charge of jobsite management in the construction division. To make sure work progresses smoothly, I make up the construction master schedule, plan major milestones, and monitor material delivery as well as coordinate with the engineering team and the procurement team for drawings and materials.
What has been your most rewarding experience working at Samsung Engineering?
Two years ago, I was assigned to work on a petrochemical project with a very tight schedule. Early in the construction process, the client didn’t think we would finish the project on time if we followed my plan. Wanting to reassure him, I prepared a presentation and built a simulation to help explain what we were doing. After a long meeting and many questions, the client agreed to my plan. When we finished the project on time successfully, the client and my colleagues thanked me for my contribution. Their gratitude and trust was a great reward for all my hard work.
Why is Samsung Engineering a good place to work?
Samsung Engineering has projects all over the world, so some of my coworkers are from India, Spain, France, and Saudi Arabia. Drawing on their global background, I have learned many new managerial skills and construction techniques, so working in a diverse environment has been very valuable to my professional development.

What is your role at Samsung Engineering?
I try to give value wherever I can, but, as an engineer in the Strategic Marketing Division, it’s my job to support our Investment Development people by giving them advice regarding the design and operation of power stations. I also try to add some future value for our clients, and I do that by not just giving our clients what they ask for but by giving them what I think they need.
What has been your most rewarding experience working at Samsung Engineering?
I’m very pleased to be working in the Strategic Marketing Division and one of the reasons is because the team members are not only committed to Samsung Engineering’s success but to the success of each of our members. Whether we’re working alone on separate projects or working together, we all are hoping for each other’s success.
Why is Samsung Engineering a good place to work?
I’ve lived and worked a lot of places all around the world, and I’m finding that Seoul is a good place to be. It’s safe, vibrant and dynamic. I also find that my colleagues here at Samsung Engineering are optimistic about the future and their place in it. The company is constantly evolving. It’s becoming more efficient and more innovative all the time and that’s what makes Samsung Engineering a great place to work.
