HCSEZ ICAD Industrial Wastewater Treatment DBO Project

The ICAD IETP Project was organized by HCSEZ, an organization under the Ministry of Economy and Planning, and jointly funded by the ADCB Macquire Bank to develop a special economic zone. It was our first overseas wastewater treatment project in the Middle East, and we carried out the engineering, construction and operation of the plant with a capacity of 40,000 tons. Phase 2 construction and additional extension were originally included in the contract when we won the construction work, but Phase 2 construction work was canceled due to the global financial crisis, and as the main agency that operates the wastewater treatment plant was changed to Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD) due to the revision of the legislation of the Ministry of Environment of the UAE, the project ended with the operation of Phase 1. With this project as our stepping stone, we were able to enter the environmental project market in the Middle East region, and also won and executed the Bahrain Muharraq Project.
